Brightness and contract are excellent. The monitor is light and easy to move. The stand is good. The biggest negative on this monitor is the non-intuitive controls that are placed in such a way they are difficult to find. The monitor has a minimal bezel and plenty of screen real estate. For the price point this monitor is a good buy.

controls

The controls are not that intuitive, however, once you get the basic menu structure down you will easily be able to make any adjustments available. Because the actual buttons unless you rest your head on the desk and look upward towards the bottom of the monitor, I recommend you place labels on the front bezel above each button. A small label indicator for each button will make it much easier for you to find them with your finger and depress to activate the various functions. The menu wait time is short. If you take too long before pressing a button to enter the next menu layer, the menus will close. The wait time is roughly 10 seconds.

There are (5) smaller buttons and (1) large blue lit button on the button right of the monitor below the bezel facing downward. Only the large blue lit button is visible when viewed straight on. The large button is POWER on/off.

The (5) smaller buttons from left to right:

  1. (E) Empowering technology button - lets you choose between monitor setting presets.
  2. (A) Auto - auto detect and configure
  3. (P) Manual - lets you manually configure monitor adjustments
  4. (<) Speaker Volume
  5. (>) Select Input

Adjust Brightness

To adjust the monitor brightness do the following

  1. Press button #3 (P)
  2. Press button #3 (P) again
  3. Press button #3 (P) a third time
  4. Press button #5 to go down the menu one position to brightness
  5. Press button #3 (P)
  6. Adjust brightness levels with buttons #4 and #5 (<)(>)
  7. Press button #2 (A) three times to exit completely out, or wait for timeout.

Other Picture Adjustments

  1. Press button #3 (P) three times, same as before
  2. Press button #5 to navigate though all of the available settings brightness, contrast, positions, focus, clock, color temp.

Adjusting is accomplished by entering the function as another press of button #5 (P) same as before. Using this same method and becoming familiar with the menu navigation, all manual settings become easily obtainable to use.
