The next model P-25 had a fully enclosed Breech Face, a different Cam, a thin sliding Safety button and a different slide. Then the first MP-25 model had a different grip serration design on the slide, being thinner and more numerous. Otherwise the MP-25 started out identical to the later P-25. Then the MP-25 was changed benefiting from an improved safety which was a rotating switch with a cutout in the Slide to lock the Slide closed when engaged.
