StaxRip is lightweight MPEG-4 frontend useful to convert a wide range of source formats into MPEG-4. StaxRip can convert DVD to MPEG-4 like DivX, XviD and x264. StaxRip is free and open source. StaxRip requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.

Microsoft .NET Framework is a negative and is not down compatible.

Before you start you should also rip the DVD to your hard drive
