MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny and NATO STANAG rails -- The Picatinny rail, or Pic rail for short, also known as a MIL-STD-1913 rail or STANAG 2324 rail, is a military standard rail interface system that provides a mounting platform for firearm accessories. It was originally used for mounting scopes atop the receivers of larger caliber rifles.

  • make sure you get a late model with .300BLK recoil mechanism
  • 16" barrel with 30rnd mag. XB16, XFD16, XG16
  • get the 9mm and .300 Blackout Conversion Kits

Note: Although the new .300 Blackout is considered better for hunting, there is the danger of a shooter getting mixed up and chambering the cartridge in a rifle configured for 5.56 and resulting in injury. The 5.56 is better for longer range shooting but has less stopping power for medium to large game.
