usage
charging battery
The battery is not recharged in the camera and the USB port is not for charging. Remove battery and place in the separate Canon battery charger supplied with the camera. When the battery is attached to the charger, recharging starts automatically and the red lamp on the charger starts to blink. The number of blinks per second indicate the charge level.
- 0 - 50% charged, one blink per second.
- 50 - 75% charged, two blinks per second.
- 75 - 90% charged, three blinks per second.
- 90 - fully charged, solid light.
After the red lamp is a solid light you should continue to charge for an additional hour to ensure maximum charge. The included battery pack is for charging BP-511 or BP-512 model batteries only.
storage card
This camera uses a CF Card otherwise known as CompactFlash for Solid State Removable Storage of digital pictures taken with the camera. Either a Type I or Type II CF card can be inserted into the camera.
An on screen menu is used to adjust settings.
