Keys Fitness A7e Elliptical

An elliptical style exercise machine. Features a maximum weight capacity of 350 pounds and is able to give you up to 16 different resistance levels and six different programs to choose from. An internal computer will automatically adjust both the speed as well as resistance levels to give an efficient workout.

Keys Fitness advertises essentially the same machine as the Alliance A7e, the Ironman 600e, and the Ironman EVO1.

The Alliance A7e accommodates a wide range of exercisers with its 19" stride. Additionally, the pedals can be adjusted for a more customized fit. A grip pulse rate monitor helps users exercise within their target heart rate and maximize the cardiovascular benefits of exercise. Movable handlebars help people to exercise their arms and legs at the same time.

Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Keys Fitness Products, LP filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2008. Assets, including brands and patents, were acquired by Star Trac through JP KFP Acquisition LLC. Star Trac was later acquired by Core Health & Fitness in 2011. Core Health & Fitness currently owns the rights to the names and patents. The original Keys Fitness cardio equipment operations effectively ceased, with pre-bankruptcy warranties voided.

Alliance was a brand owned and used by Keys Fitness Products, LP for ellipticals and treadmills, including the A7e model marketed as the Keys Fitness Alliance A7e. The identical machine was sold under the Alliance branding as part of Keys Fitness' multi-brand strategy (alongside Ironman, HealthTrainer, Encore, and others).

Review

For what this model can do it is relatively small. It is built with gym quality construction. It is one of the best mid-range elliptical machines ever sold.

Keypad, Display, Head Unit

This is the entire top section which has the LCD displays and button pad.

PCB / Board

Program control board from the console assembly of the Keys Fitness Alliance A7e Elliptical. The console part number is 307-00062. This control board processes user inputs from console buttons, displays workout data (time, speed, distance, calories, pulse, level, watts, strides), controls magnetic resistance (16 levels), manages preset programs, quick start, and heart rate monitoring via hand pulse sensors.
