1980 Kawasaki KZ550-C1
The Kawasaki Z500/Z550 series began with the 1979 Z500, a scaled-down version of the Kawasaki Z1R. It used a double-cradle steel frame with a transverse-mounted air-cooled 4-cylinder Double Over Head Cam engine—a classic Universal Japanese Motorcycle.
Early Z550 models (1980–1981) had a double disk brake in the front (the US model KZ550 had a single disc brake) and a drum brake in the rear, with a conventional swingarm using twin shock absorbers.
1980 Kawasaki Z 550 LTD (KZ550-C1) in 1980, was the model with cruiser body and 553.8 cm3 / 33.6 cui engine size, 36.8 kW / 50 PS / 49 hp of power, 6-speed manual powertrain offered since early-year 1980.

replacement battery
Issue, the recommended battery Xtreme High Performance 12A-A 12V 165CCA Flooded Powersport Battery CYL12AAXT has a side vent that protrudes and prevents the battery from resting properly in the battery cradle under the seat. Also, flooded cell batteries are nearly an obsolete type as AGM is preferred. Just because it is a vintage bike doesn't mean you should have to use a vintage designed battery. 12 volts is 12 volts. Other flooded cell batteries that match with the same vent issue are Duraboost DC12A-A, Yuasa YB12A-A Yumicron, Fire Power Conventional Battery CB12A-A.
