6v Alkaline Camera Battery

It looks like a AA battery, except about ½ as tall. Unlike the AA battery, it has 4x the voltage. It is referred to as the 6 volt photo battery or the 6v camera battery. It has multiple designations. Energizer brand refers to it as size A544.

The most common designations of the 6v camera battery are:

  • Size A544
  • 4LR44
  • L1325

Menards

Menards offers this battery at a fair price, in store, for only $3.27. The Home Depot does not carry this battery.

Radio Shack Ripoff

DO NOT PAY OVER $4.00 for this camera battery if you do not wish to be ripped off. Rip off resellers include Radio Shack, which wants $8.00 ($7.99) for their version, the Enercell PX28A - A SCAM. Way to stick it to people having difficulty locating this battery.

CVS Pharmacy Ripoff

They actually want nearly $14.00 for this battery! This should be a crime.
