Although the Mayor of a town or village has freedom to govern as he or she feels is fit, the election process is regulated by a greater authority to ensure fairness for all citizens of the land.
📌 Elections are held when a citizen wishes to recall the current Mayor
📌 To initiate a recall election, first the citizen of the township must place campaign signs and placards in all parts of the town with his or her name
📌 The campaign process will last no less than 24 eq d/n cycles and is recommended to go for up to 48. (translates to hours IRL)
📌 Only registered home owners or business owners may vote for Mayor in the town or city.
📌 Registered home owners or businesses are required to have a placard on their home or business with their name on it and placed by the Mayor or approved city employee as their proof of residence.
📌 The election itself lasts for 24 eg d/n cycles (24 hrs IRL) and must be publicly displayed. This is usually on the side of a large building
📌 In a tie election the incumbent Mayor retains office.
📌 Registering new residents during the election (not including campaign) and allowing them to vote is election fraud.
📌 Only one registered resident name or owner to a business, home, or apartment.
