Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) wireless phone offering secure voice connectivity over a standards-based IEEE 802.11b/g wireless network. The 3108 phone's keypad has four-way cursor control to originate and receive calls, invoke features and retrieve voice messages. A 1.8" (4.57 cm) color display for menu navigation in a flip-phone design. The 3Com 3108 wireless phone (3C10408A) is not only SIP-compliant, but also utilizes a standards-based managed wireless network—including wireless switches and managed access points (MAPs). Wireless Protected Access 2 (WPA2) and advanced encryption standard (AES) that encodes conversations with 128-, 192- and 256-bit keys. == configure == If you can get the phone configured for your local area network on the phone itself, then you do not have to use the phone to do the SIP configuration. This phone allows you to configure it using a web browser over an IP network! Take it from someone that has manually configured this phone using the dial pad on the phone itself, it is MUCH EASIER to configure it from a web browser.
