IKS Technology Progression: * '''iHub''': already phased out * '''Newlink''': replacement to iHub, probably near end of life * '''SVLan''': successor to Newlink and iHub, currently being supported by the major vendors. == From the Receiver to Your Router == When the IHub was introduced, it provided a way to connect some FTA satellite receivers to the Internet via your router and an Ethernet cable. Since then the IHub has been retired. Newlink was another method introduced after the IHub. Currently, SVLan is the method being used to connect your FTA receiver to the Internet. == SV Lan upgrade for the IHub == You won't need to worry about this unless you have been using an IHub, or Newlink, and now wish to upgrade to SVLan. The SV Lan upgrade is a serial number that is emailed to you.
