Blocking Google Doodles
Firefox
Right click on the Google doodle image and choose "View Image Info" to open a dialog box that displays information about the image on the page. Near the bottom there is a Media Preview, and above that a checkbox labeled "Block images from google.com." By checking the check box the google doodle and google logo will no longer appear.
Chrome 63
In the URL bar type:
chrome://flags/
or
about:flags
- Switch setting “Enable using the Google local NTP” to “Enabled”
- Switch setting “Enable doodles on the local NTP” to "Disabled"
- restart Chrome
