A cornice (pronounced KOR niss) also called crown molding is a crowning projection on the interior or exterior of a building, or on furniture such as a bookcase. A horizontal molded projection that crowns or completes a building or wall. The molding at the top of the walls of a room, between the walls and ceiling.

Plastic moldings go by many names: Polyurethane, PU, Urethane, Styrene, Polymoulding, Urethane foam.
Urethane is perhaps the most common name for plastic cornice molding.
