STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO UPDATING YOUR SONICVIEW 360Premier/Elite

# Download and unzip latest bin to your USB drive

# With power off, insert USB drive into USB front port on receiver

1. go to files section and download latest bin file for your receiver to your desktop

# With Sonicview on, and SVLan connected, goto PC and run Wiznet

# PC and SVLan on receiver must both be connected to same LAN switch or hub

# In Wiznet choose "Search" and it will find your SVLan adapter via network and show the Mac Address

3. ensure you have a dedicated USB stick for loading files, do not have other files on it

# Goto Sonicview and load this bin, which will make the SVLan work (if you were getting a network error before)

4. format the USB stick in FAT format with your computer by going to My Computer and right clicking on the drive and choosing “format” option. Do not choose quick format

5. load the extracted file from your PC to your USB i.e. cut and paste (not drag and drop)

6. remove USB from your PC

7. if your 360 is on, turn if off using the remote, then turn off from the back switch (main power)

8. insert USB in front slot and turn on main power from back
+

9. hit Menu, choose PVR Options, USB devices, choose Front

10. you will see your file in the list
+

11. it should be highlighted. hit OK

12. choose S/W update and let the file load

13. DO NOT REMOVE USB as it loads!!!

14. Once loaded you will get a message to Reboot, choose YES

15. DO NOT REMOVE USB as it reboots!!!

16. wait until main screen loads. once rebooted and at main screen you will have to remove the USB. The 360E is equipped with a “safe remove” option, but not the 360P. To remove safely for either, turn the unit off again by using the remote control, then turn off by back switch.

17. remove your USB

18. turn power on again from back

19. once main screen comes, turn to channel 100 and wait for it to autoroll

SVLan Setup

Menu Load Method

Part 1

  1. Download and unzip latest bin to your USB drive
  2. With power off, insert USB drive into USB front port on receiver
  3. Open Menu, navigate to PVR Options, Front USB, and select the bin file from the list
  4. Choose S/W Update. Wait while file loads and updates, be patient, do not disturb receiver or thumb drive
  5. Reboot Yes when prompted

Part 2

  1. Download and install Wiznet 3.0.1 to your PC (you need this or latest version)
  2. With Sonicview on, and SVLan connected, goto PC and run Wiznet
  3. PC and SVLan on receiver must both be connected to same LAN switch or hub
  4. In Wiznet choose "Search" and it will find your SVLan adapter via network and show the Mac Address
  5. Use Wiznet to set the IP address for SVLan (network settings appropriate for your LAN)

Part 3

  1. You may need to download and install Premier_svlan_special_99 (place bin on USB drive)
  2. Goto Sonicview and load this bin, which will make the SVLan work (if you were getting a network error before)

Force Load Method

How To Force Load Sonicview SV-360 Premier With USB Drive

  1. Turn the the Premier Off completely from the rear power switch
  2. Format USB flash drive
  3. Copy latest bin file fix to the flash drive
  4. Insert flash drive into premier usb port
  5. Press and hold Ok button (located on the front panel) and then turn the Premier On using the rear power switch
  6. Select the bin file and let it load

first load the newest channel template file

then scan sats in this order:

Tuner

 Echostar 7(119W)
 Changed LNB type to OSC-DP
 Changed Transponder to 12239
 Changed Diseqc to Port 1
  • Selected Blind Scan
  • Saved scan when done

Tuner

 Echostar 8 (110W)
 Changed LNB type to OSC-DP
 Changed Diseqc to Port 2
  • Selected Blind Scan
  • Saved scan when done
