It has 2 catalyst built into the exuast pipe and a spark arrestor but NO sparks will get by the honeycomb car's. You can put your hand behind the muffler and it it barely warm. Hope this helps....

Why are they selling this as a 250 when it is only a 225? This only has 14 HP where a 250 has at least 15hp?

  • Answer:

As per the manufacturer for the HAWK Enduro, this is a 229cc and it is rounded up as 250cc bike..

If this is a 250 cc why 50 mph

  • Answer:

The gearing ratio is very low. Good for torque. If you want higher top speed, buy a smaller rear sprocket. I would recommend a drop to a 40-45, the drop of torque isn’t uncomfortable but it adds a good amount of top end, cruising becomes 60-70 mph.

does it come with battery charger ?

  • Answer:

No it does not you have to fill the battery with the provided acid then go and buy a battery charger I bought and installed a battery tender I highly recommend

Where would you get replacement parts for maintenance or if it breaks? What brand?

  • Answer:

This is a RickyPowersports brand bike. OEM parts will probably be hard to find. But most parts are "clone" parts from what seems like a CB250.
