SD Card Digital Storage
The SD card format should be FAT32 / FAT16. The NTFS format is NOT supported. SD cards up to 2GB and SDHC cards up to 32GB are supported. However, there are many different card variants available and not all cards can be guaranteed to work with this unit. A standard '2GB' SD card Must be formatted into FAT 16 and all the SDHC card MUST be formatted into FAT 32.
- Up to 32GB SDHC supported
As a general reference, about 4000 MP3 music files will fit on approx 20 GiB storage.
SD cards can not be formatted from the device, you must have them formatted and ready prior to use. In order to use an SD card in this unit, please format it first. The DAR-101 can erase the files in it, it just can not format nor wipe; those things will have to be done from a computer.
From the Music Mode Browse Screen to view the files in a specific file folder in your SD card, rotate the Tuning control until the desired file folder is highlighted. Then press the Enter button to enter the folder, all the files in the folder will be displayed.
In Music mode, you can see all the recorded files in your SD card. To find the files recorded in Music mode, they are saved under the folder name of ‘MIC’ or ‘LINE.’ If the files are recorded with built-in / external mic, they are stored in the ‘MIC folder’; whereas LINE folder stored all the recording made from external source device (i.e. LINE IN).
