2-Way / Two Way Radio Transceiver: A two-way radio is a radio that can both transmit and receive (a transceiver). A two-way transceiver allows the operator to have a conversation with other transceivers operating on the same frequency and modulation.

A walkie talkie is an example of a two way radio, however, there are many other types of transceivers including automobile mobile transceivers and base stations.

A two way radio can either operate in a half-duplex or full duplex mode. Half-duplex allows the radio to transmit or receive but not at the same time. Full-duplex allows the radio to transmit and receive at the same time.
