Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication is an access method used by various radio communication technologies such as digital mobile phones. GMS was developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) to describe the base protocols. AT&T and T-Mobile are two examples of GSM carriers. GSM Phones is a direct competing technology with CDMA Phones. GSM is one of many Mobile Phone Network Technologies.
