Latest download details (1/2014) is version 12.0.0.38. The file fp_12.0.0.38_archive.zip from the Adobe web site is over 100mb because it contains full installers for several operating systems.
For Windows XP, the flashplayer12_0r0_43_win file should be extracted from the zip archive and used for installation. Extract just the file flashplayer12_0r0_43_win and then you can delete the zip archive. Install Flash Player from flashplayer12_0r0_43_win.
