Stations running excessive illegal power levels on Citizen Band channel 6 at 27.025MHz are said to be participating in the Super Bowl. Runner up to channel 6 is channel 11 at 27.085 which is also dominated by high power skip shooters.
According to Carolina Thunder, "10 thousand watts would be considered a small radio on ch 6. Most of the heavy hitters run in excess of 100 thousand watts! When these guys say they are WORLD WIDE its because they have been heard around the world." This claim of 100,000 watts is an exaggeration, however, there are some heavy hitters on this frequency. With this in mind, confirmed reports of contacts being made with Super Bowl regulars from stations at 200 - 500 watts has occurred on a frequent basis.

According to this source, "If you are trying to make a contact on AM some popular channels for skip talking are channel 6, 11, 14, 17, 19, 26, 28 and 30. Of these channels the most popular by far are channel 6 (also referred to as “The Superbowl”), 17 and 19. "
