There are 4 total, remove them all.* Remove (D) and loosen (E) with 10mm hex wrench.Completely remove all 4 Torx screws and get them out of the way. Rather than trying to slide the panel rearward such as the illustration suggests, just pull it off and out of the way. It will not slide rearward without breaking.Bolt (E) only needs to be loosened rather than removed. There is a slot in the panel that allows it to slide from the bolt once the bolt is loose.The battery terminals on your 86 Corvette are 8mm. With age these soft metal hex heads often become rounded.
