Back in January of 2011, Adobe Systems Incorporated pulled a stunt which amounted to what some industry experts described as tricking users of their software into installing a virus like programmed known as Adobe GetPlus. Users would upgrade a common Internet browser plugin known as Flash Player only to become infected with the GetPlus DLM Vulnerability. It was quickly pointed out that the program was malware. Adobe later discontinued distribution of GetPlus.
