There is no true safe mode for Chrome. In fact, Google controls how Chrome starts, and what level of process launch you have. There are some useful command line parameters you can use. /usr/bin/google-chrome-stable --high-dpi-support=1 --force-device-scale-factor=1 --disable-extensions --disable-plugins --guestThe particular parameter "--disable-extensions" you may find most useful. For privacy you can use "--guest"
