Ohms resistance can be measured with a meter if you know the correct connector pins to use.  If it is a powered microphone, such as one with a battery, you need to remove the battery to avoid damage to the ohm meter.  ...more... This is not conclusive as pins 6 and 7 are open until the mic PTT is pressed.  When pressed the resistance is measured at around 175 ohms.  This is an 8 pin microphone where pins 6 and 7 are the last two on the left side before the notch.  So how does a 300 ohm microphone measure at 175 ohms on the meter?Ohms resistance measurement with an ohm meter ...more...Older high impedance microphones can be adapted for use on modern solid state amateur radio transceivers.  ..more...Older high impedance microphones can be adapted for use on modern solid state amateur radio transceivers.  ...more...
