The units are multi channel, with 2, 8, and 10 channel models which seem to be common. Some models operate VHF and others UHF. They are designed for stationary use in a specific area, such as a reception desk or in a shop. The Jobcom can be mounted to a desk or wall for secure operation to reduce or eliminate the costs typically incurred from the replacement of lost, dropped or stolen portable handheld two way radios. Models support both license free MURS and business only pre-programmed frequencies. Each unit has a 1w speaker for easy to hear audio output. Other standard features include 51 Quiet Call (privacy) codes, Channel Scan, Call Tone, DTMF ANI ENcode, 2-Tone Paging Decode, Programmable Soft Key. Some Jobcoms have an easy to read LED display.
