To sound its best, this unit requires a signal processor between the source and the transmitter. Either there is no AGC circuit or it simply does not work well. A good AGC circuit would help address the common complaint of low audio volume or under deviation. According to an Amazon review, "''there is no AGC in version 3.0. It was mentioned in the early instructions by mistake, and has been removed from the current instructions.'' "
