IDE DEVICE CONFLICTS IN PRIMARY IDE CONTROLLER!
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- usually disables 32bit drivers and cdrom 32bit mode solution: edit registry file HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\IOS (remove the value that says NO IDE) all that should remain are three values: (Default) (no value set) Start 00 StaticVxD "*IOS"
BUS ADAPTER FOUND INSTALLING NEW HARDWARE ERROR!
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- I ran accross a problem in Windows 95 with award bios as follows: Windows 95 detects a serial BUS adapter and can not identfy it, when there is actually no bus devices attached to the system. solution: <DEL> enter bios setup goto: INTERGRATED PERIPHERIALS locate: USB Controller set to: DISABLED F10 save and exit!
TWO CD ROM DRIVE LETTERS IN WINDOWS 95, ONE CD ROM DRIVE
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- When the real mode cdrom driver is loaded in autoexec.bat (MSCDEX) and assigned an alternative drive letter from that which is specified in windows 95, often two cdrom drive's appear in the "my computer" under windows 95. Solution: remark out the real mode driver in the autoexec.bat file, and copy it to dosstart.bat under the c:\windows directory. MSCDEX real mode driver should not be loaded for ATAPI compatible cdrom drives.
FATAL EXCEPTION AND OTHER WINDOWS ERRORS DURING MWAVE INSTALLATION
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Given that the mwave card is known to be good, check to see which video card installed. The Blaze 3D (Trident 3d image 975 hardware) card causes errors during mwave card installation with the PCA Pro 3.2 mwave. Change your video driver to VGA before adding the mwave card to the system, after installation procedure is complete, you may change driver back to blaze 3d.
