Tlanucher for Minecraft, play Minecraft without supporting the evil Micro$oft monopoly and enjoy the many benefits of having customized player skins, Forge support, and many servers to enjoy.

TLauncher supports Linux.

The following is a working configuration of Java for TLauncher for Linux. Since it is possible to have a number of Java configurations for Linux, including the use of Oracle Java, Open Java, and the old crippled IBM Java, it is important to have the correct configuration. For example, you will not be able to use TLauncher with IBM Java.

$ dudo update-alternatives --config java
There are 2 choices for the alternative java (providing /usr/bin/java).

  Selection    Path                                         Priority   Status
------------------------------------------------------------
  0            /usr/lib/jvm/java-11-openjdk-amd64/bin/java   1111      auto mode
  1            /usr/lib/jvm/java-11-openjdk-amd64/bin/java   1111      manual mode
* 2            /usr/local/jre1.8.0_181/bin/java              8         manual mode

Press <enter> to keep the current choice[*], or type selection number:

TLauncher seems to run well with OpenJDK version 11 (as of 2020/2021).
