Prevent your iPhone SE 2020 from automatically uploading photos to iCloud
- Open Settings: Tap on the "Settings" app on your home screen.
- Tap on Your Name: This is at the top of the screen and takes you to your Apple ID settings.
- Go to iCloud: Select "iCloud" from the list.
- Manage Photos: Tap on "Photos".
- Disable iCloud Photos: Toggle off "iCloud Photos". This will stop your iPhone from automatically uploading photos to iCloud. A prompt may appear asking if you want to download photos and videos to your iPhone or remove them from your device. Choose to keep them on your device if you want to ensure all existing photos remain locally stored.
Verifying Storage
After making these changes, you might want to verify that photos are being stored locally:
- Check Photos App: Open the Photos app and ensure all your photos are available.
- Manage Storage: Go to "Settings" > "General" > "iPhone Storage" to see how much storage your photos are using locally.
