Send Free "text message"/ SMS via the Internet

05star.png 1. Chikka Messenger - This is software you have to install. Ranking very low because after all the work installing and registering, it didn't work at all. Recipient must approve an invite prior to receiving messages.

10star.png 2. Sendsmsnow.com ( http://www.sendsmsnow.com/ ) - nice address book feature. free to send as many single messages as you want. pay to send bulk messages. None of the messages I sent ever made it to the recipient.

00star.png 3. Textforfree.net ( http://www.text4free.net/ ) - Not recommended, you have to know the recipient's provider, a captcha is required for each message, no address book. Useless.
