A lightweight sized game, only 40MB to download, plus additional maps average 20KB each!  This is a FPS (First Person Shooter) that you play against others over network.  It is like Quake Arena.  AssaultCube is a FREE, multiplayer, first-person shooter game, based on the CUBE engine.

Ubuntu installation instructions- As root or using sudo do the following:

apt-get install libsdl1.2Debian libsdl-image1.2 libsdl-image1.2-dev libopenal-dev
apt-get install assaultcube  assaultcube-data

For RedHat based systems, type this at the command line:

yum install SDL SDL_image zlib libogg libvorbis openal-soft libcurl
