The Kenwood TM-3530A transmits 25 or 5 watts on the 1.25 Meter Amateur Radio band. The receive and transmit range is 220-225 MHz.

Programming
To program a memory channel
- Set [M.CH] switch to key mode
- Using keypad enter the frequency
- Press [OS] to change the default freq offset
- Turn large dial to select memory channel number
- Press [M] to save memory channel
You can verify the memory channel by pressing [M.CH] and observe that Memory Channel selector is illuminated. Your memory channel data should be on the display.
There are 23 memory channels and you can select one of them as the priority channel.
- Set [AL] switch pressed
- Turn large dial to select memory channel number
- Press [PS] to set selected memory channel as priority
Troubleshooting
A lithium battery is located in the transceiver to retain memory. The battery is good for approximately five years.
