When Advanced options are enabled, configure the following: Tap the appropriate Broadcast channel: 2.4 GHz Band 5 GHz Band Tap the channel Dropdown menu Drop down menu icon then tap the appropriate channel (i.e. Auto, 1 - 11). Note Auto (default setting) is recommended. Tap Save. Top Allowed devices To create a list of devices that can connect to the hotspot, tap Allowed devices. Note To set allowed devices: Tap the Add icon + (upper-right). Enter the device name and MAC address then tap OK. Tap the Back icon Back icon (lower-left). From the Mobile Hotspot screen, tap the device name (e.g., SM-N910Vxxxx). Note By default, xxxx are the last 4 digits of of the Wi-Fi MAC address. Tap one of the following: All devices Allowed devices only Top Timeout settings Tap Timeout settings. Note Sets how long before the hotspot will turn off after no activity. Select an option: Never timeout 5 min 10 min 20 min 30 min 60 min Tap the Back icon Back icon (lower-left).
