A Basic Wireless Air Mouse has mostly just mouse functionality. An extended multi-media version is considered a Wireless Air Mouse with Multimedia Controls.The basic wireless air mouse is a pointer with the ability to move the mouse pointer, and is designed primarily for video projector presentations such as Power Point. They are too limited in control functionality to serve as much use on a multimedia PC aka Media Center, MythTV or Kodi system.The Air Mouse has no touch pad or track ball. The Air Mouse is held in the hand and used to control a mouse pointer on a screen or monitor by simply pointing and moving the Air Mouse "in the air." It can be handled, tipped, moved around, and any button on top pressed without activating keys on the bottom causing undesired results. Now, combine this design with the air mouse capability of being pointed to control the mouse cursor, and you will have an excellent Wireless Air Mouse multimedia remote. Come on Chinese designers! Give us some real options!As of current, the model in the picture above is not an air mouse.
